Fee and Permit Schedules
The Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District has adapted its Budget for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 (May 1, 2016 thru April 30, 2017). The Board of Trustees of the District decided to increase the Service Availability Charge by $1.00 per month for all residential and commercial customers. The Board of Trustees concluded the increase was appropriate due to the extensive capital improvement projects projected for the current and future years.
It should be noted Flagg Creek does not levy real estate taxes as other sanitary districts assess. All operating expenditures and capital improvement projects by the District are financed through User Charges and Permit Fees collected. The majority of Flagg Creek's User Fee revenue is generated by water consumption usage; and with consumers installing high efficiency products and through water conservation efforts, the water consumption levels have declined over the years, in turn, decreased the District's revenue stream. Flagg Creek's fixed cost to operate its infrastructure (Plant and Collection System) has remained constant, even with the decreased water consumption levels. The Board of Trustees felt justified and necessary to increase the Service Availability Charge by $1.00 per month.
